Security forces in Paris wear a special patch in honor of France’s EU presidency

  1. wow, how irrelevant! probably the least useful thing to anything anyone will read today, congratulations, OP.

  2. Does France know that this is a rotating presidency? The French are acting like they won something and Macron thinks he was elected for this.

  3. So far Macron’s got obsessed with talking about becoming a great power, had giant municipal displays about the flag (lighting up the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triumphe, etc), and now the squads of security forces carrying emblems their sleeves. He’s becoming a comic book caricature of a wannabe dictator. As if he read too many Flash Gordon comics, really liked Ming’s style, and decided to play dress ups. Why do I think his main reason for wanting an EU army isn’t to defend the east, but to parade it down Boulevarde Housemann while he rides along in a golden chariot?

  4. I’m happy to see France taking on the role with such honor and excitement. Definitely one of the biggest supporters of the institution.

  5. While the patch looks nice, I can’t wonder but “What have all those patches cost?” Like, is this really the best spend for our tax money?
