Pretty sure he’s talking about Pita, one of my locals.
“Last week, I was talking to a friend whose sons happen to love falafel. She was telling me how her boys recently went to their favourite restaurant in Golders Green to eat a load of them. As they sat outside munching, they spotted a car slow down in the road. Suddenly, the driver unfurled a Palestinian flag, screamed “dirty Jews!” and drove off”.
In fact they weren’t even Jewish but hey, this behaviours is deemed almost normal in some Muslim communities, in the same way that islamophobia is normalised in many white working class communities.
Sad as the Jewish and Muslim communities have – or ought to have – so much in common.
Absolutely awful stuff.
This article said very little. How about an article that acknowledges the problem, the key perpetrators and actual advice for fixing it rather than just platitudes.
The title sounds like a bad joke set up but man it is shit how we seem to be declining in standards and this shit keeps happening.
