  1. She is in the news for suing more than average

  2. Necessary to get out in front of this early and set the precedent for best business practices in the future. AI and more specifically Open AI are not going anywhere so I see this as a necessary bump in the road in the name of progress.

  3. Not going to go anywhere unless they have emails stating it pretty plainly or the voice actor it trained on used lines from her movies or something.

The other way would be like a spectrogram but they aren’t dumb enough to have that match and with the ear test we can kind of already tell.

  4. Would have been really funny if instead of an article it was a chat gpt reenactment of what the court case would look like.

  5. Will either settle out of court or get a massive pay increase to use her voice after all

  6. This sounds like the “Man angry his photo was used to prove all hipsters look alike — then learns it wasn’t him” headline.

SJs voice really isn’t that unique. I didn’t even think about “her” until all the articles started coming out about it.

  7. The thing is Sam Altman is just stupid, since if you listen to the comparison it actually doesn’t sound that alike. But the fact he ask her a week before launch tells us they definitely used her voice somewhere in the training. If he just didn’t ask I don’t think there wouldn’t be a case. Sometimes I think these tech CEO needs to have better PR teams haha.

  8. Hey, remember that woman that got $40M or so out of Disney & their fleet of lawyers when they fucked her over on a contract?

Let’s steal her voice for our AI. Can’t see how it would end badly.
