It is normal procedure for the monarch and senior royals not to undertake any public duties that could divert attention from campaigning – or appear to favour one political party.
However it is understood that next month's commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings both in the UK and France will still go ahead as planned.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that the King has cancelled his public engagements for the rest of the week.

So glad they’re doing this. I know I absolutely can’t make informed decisions if I see even a single ribbon cut in the month prior
I’m okay with this. Sure, we will all be annoyed that the royals aren’t working. But elections are far more important than the royal family.
For a second I was like “What’s Anne gonna do with herself though?”, but one her events is still set to go and she’ll probably chill with horses in the meanwhile.
