  1. In a way, it is too bad that the US is imposing tariffs against China and clean tech. The real way green tech is going to make sense is when it is an economic win for consumers, governments, and companies.

The ending part of the article describes the impressions from a reporter trying out Chinese EVs in Beijing:

    > After test-driving a dozen vehicles, Williams thought he had his answer: Chinese E.V.s were simply better and more compelling than their European and American counterparts, he said. “Now that I’ve seen a glimpse of what’s going on in China,” he wrote, “the Western manufacturers, particularly the American ones, don’t seem like they’re trying at all.”

  2. Has been the days that Solyndra was politicized. We had a chance to export energy to the world, breaking the ties to ME oil. Instead, Florida chose W, war become the only export that mattered. China took the lead and will maintain it until they collapse

  3. Building green tech in non green factories means nothing. Don’t buy from China until factories are green . Then it will be sensible. Currently just a different way of polluting.

  4. Well, they subsidize industry and we just pander to billionaires and war machines.
