1. > Maybe it’s possible we’re ascribing too much cynicism to Apple here. Maybe they thought the list would be inspirational to music fans across the board. Listen, they also thought everyone would want “Songs of Innocence” on their phones, right?

   The ultimate move by Apple would have been to make that the number one album in the list.

2. Any all time top 100 list is going to be anger inducing.

4. It’s not like anyone would agree with any list anyway. We all have our own lists. It’s ok to pretend this doesn’t matter.

5. Making people mad or purposefully creating division is why it’s on Reddit. Nobody in their right mind would give a shit about this “greatest” bs. But now, it’s my band vs your band and it’s ON! By design.

6. Glad I don’t give a crap what Apple thinks about almost everything. I do like their design aesthetic but little else.

7. There is no wrong way to make a list. They use different criteria including sales. Y’all can make your own lists.

8. This is not a serious list. If you were a music aficionado and went on a first date with someone who came up with list and showed it to you from their daily journal, it would be appropriate to end the date early and thank them meeting up with you.
