I am happy that we are helping Ukraine in its fight with weapons and humanitarian aid, but it is unfair to require Ukraine to let Russia build up troops on its border and not be able to strike them while they build up and instead have to wait until those troops actually attack. It is unfair that Russia can lob missiles across the border with impunity. We are asking Ukraine to fight with one hand behind its back against a larger enemy. Please reverse your policy and let Ukraine have a chance."

It is not a matter of what I want. It is a matter of what is necessary. Russia has a horrible advantage over Ukraine, and this is increased when Russia can launch weapons into Ukraine. Yet, Ukraine is not allowed to launch a counter attack onto the shit stained soil of Russia. Either you deal with pootin today, or you deal with him later.
I appreciate that this is a US-centric website, but I suggest that the mods should collate means of contacting politicians from other countries which have supplied lethal aid in order to promote a more effective effort. These details might usefully be linked e.g. in the sidebar.

Yes…..Russia fires into Ukraine so of course the Ukrainians should be allowed to do the same, regardless of where that weapon came from.

As an American, not only do I support it, it necessary! The Ukrainians are fighting a defensive battle against an aggressor, already stated in a U.N. Vote (however toothless and useless they are as an organization). Not only will the Ukrainians be able to defend themselves but this will help end the war sooner! How long before the rashist public starts to question why their planes are being shot down in russia before they say “this isn’t going well”. And before anyone jumps on the “bUt EscAlatION!” Train, russia ain’t gonna do shit. They know they are in the wrong and can’t afford to get into a war with NATO.
