Russia-Ukraine war: Russia advances near Vovchansk, Chasiv Yar & Kharkiv | WION Fineprint

Moscow seems to be executing a grand plan one that is designed to open a new front in the Ukraine war in recent months Russia has been stepping up its offensive in the har region while concentrating troops near sui our next report tells you how this could prove decisive in settling the war and how it is in line with achieving Russian President Vladimir Putin’s objectives in the region Russia is seemingly planning something [Music] big the three images on your screen show big developments Russia is moving massive troops to sui region near Ukraine Russian Air Force is relocating its strategic bombers near the Finland border Russian military has also begun its nuclear drills near the Ukrainian border experts say that these images of Russian armored vehicles and tanks being moved on a military train seems like February 2022 when it attacked Ukraine the train was spotted heading towards the border with the sui region of Northeastern Ukraine Ukraine’s military says forces is pulled back to new positions in kke region where Moscow is pressing and offensive and warn of a Russian Force build up to the North near its Tumi region simultaneously Russia has also reloc locating its strategic bombers a third of its Frontline air assets are being moved to the olena Airfield in Russia’s mormans or blast which is close to the Finland border among the bombers which have been delocated include 12 Tu 95 Ms and 13 tu22 M3 these are long range bomber aircrafts which have been modernized recently and are designed to carry nuclear weapons and are capable of flying long distances over difficult terrain Russia’s military has begun drills involving tactical nuclear weapons Moscow says the drills are an apparent warning to Western leaders who are pushing for a deeper involvement in the Russia Ukraine war the nuclear drills are taking place in the Southern military District which consists of Russian regions in the South including on the border with Ukraine Crimea un likee nuclear tipped intercontinental ballistic missiles which can destroy entire cities tactical nuclear weapons are less powerful they have a yield of around 1 kiloton in comparison the American bomb dropped on hoshima was 15 kilotons these weapons can be very small and therefore discreetly carried in a truck or plane they’re designed to be used against troops on the battlefield tactical nuclear weapons have never been used in combat they’re also not regulated by International Arms Control agreements Russian forces continue to pound the karke region and now by concentrating troops near Sumi Moscow aims to force keev to stretch its battle lines potentially compromising its other positions bu report beond world is one Peter kosnik is Professor of history and director of the nuclear Studies Institute at American University professor Nick is live in Washington DC welcome Professor with the recent developments and advances made by Russia in parts of Ukraine including har how would you gaau the wall at this juncture at this point Russia is clearly on the offensive uh the Ukrainian forces are under armed underman uh and in a state of retreat right now so the the zalinski keeps on holding out the hope that they’re going to drive all the Russian forces out of Ukraine before they sit down and negotiate what’s happening now is just the opposite the ukrainians are faced with severe losses on the battlefield losing ground on the battlefield and Russia is clearly the one on the offensive right now Professor do you also foresee a new plan by president Putin and Moscow attacking new multiple fronts in the coming days or weeks well Russia is already advancing on K pushing the Ukrainian forces back they’re stretching the lines thinner in the South and the East uh whether or not they want K itself or they just want this buffer zone uh they are but they’re getting close enough to K to be able to hit it with uh much more artillery then there’s also the possibility of them going after Odessa so the sooner the ukrainians agree to negotiate look for a diplomatic solution the better off Ukraine will be because they’re losing Manpower the economy is being destroyed and their negotiating position is weakening Professor there has also been uh the issue of arming Ukraine what’s your view on Germany and France when it comes to bolstering Ukraine uh do both countries have a unilateral or Divergent uh stance on weaponizing or bringing weapons to Ukraine uh well that’s a big part of the concern right now that many of the Western countries seeing how weak Ukraine is and how desperate Ukraine is they are taking a more aggressive stance rather than a diplomatic stance we see that with Cameron and the Brits saying that Ukraine can use British weapons to strike deep within in Russia we see blinkin effectively giving the okay for the use of American weapons to strike inside of Russia we see macron calling for sending NATO troops on the ground into Russia I mean into Ukraine we see the increased use of trainers when sophisticated weapons arrive the ukrainians in many cases are not capable of of of deploying them and so you’re going to have more and more NATO troops there and trainers and experts zinsky is calling for NATO trainers inside of Ukraine so they’ll be able to deploy the forces more quickly this is all creating a much more dangerous situation the situation is growing more dangerous is more desperate by the day right now and so we’ need to step back from this because we are pushing for something that could lead to an expanded war and potentially a World War at this point Professor we’ll have to leave it there I’ve been talking to Peter kosnik who’s a professor of history and director of the nuclear Studies Institute at American University Professor Kik as always thank you very much for talking to us today my pleasure for all the latest news download the we on app And subscribe to our YouTube channel

  1. Im sure the U.S. won't be able to put up any new- age spy satalites and energy directed weapons any time soon to counter enemy high-ground offensive and defensive tactical nuke positions

  2. Viva la grande popolazione Russa un popolo dei migliori con grande capacità e umiltà vera
Viva il grande Esercito Rosso Z
    Viva la grande Marina Russa
Viva il grande Presidente Putin il numero uno su questa terra il Dio del mondo

  3. Every rational person knows what the inevitable outcome of this was going to be. There could have been peaceful relations between Russia and America. This obsession with NATO expansion after promising it would not happen is directly to blame. Disastrous foreign policy driven by the trillion dollar industrial war complex lobby married to permanent Washington has created a generational adversary instead. And oh how Ukraine would like to go back to the Clinton era and tell him to go pound sand when talking them into relinquishing their nuclear arsenal. And Ukraine is getting worse advice now. Ukraine is about to lose 70% of its territory.

  4. Ukraine need to stop listenng to the West. All Russia wanted was that the NATO stay in its border. Which country will like Missiles at their doorstep. Will the US like if Russia places missles in Cuba?

  6. My favourite president MR Putin push push more European they must understand that Ukraine is doesn't be long to them they'll must Go back to are European and they must Go back control Europe the nonsense

  7. Russia is likely not stopping anytime soon. They told Tucker that they already took the ground they wanted, but they continue to push into Ukraine despite saying they didn't want all of Ukraine which we knew was a lie when it was said.

  8. Why is Ukraine getting all this attention while other countries was at war for so many years and they didnt got help from the west for weapons…. Why is that huh… 😑😑😑

  9. People like to egg on Russia. But Russia is the country sending most amount of ammunition to Ukraine. Its more than all NATO combined.

  10. Here is something rich for you. The Ukraine wants nato troupes but here in Canada we welcomed all kinds of fighting age men and women that wont help protect thier country. Go figure. And if we ever need these cowards to help protect Canada they will never help here either.
