Timothy Snyder: War should have ended in 2022 with Ukraine’s victory

1. The Russians got clapped hard and we’re in total disarray in 22/23. The west dragged its feet and could have pumped gear into Ukraine to finish them off but did not do so.

2. Should have, and yet West decided otherwise.

   At the beginning of invasion, one Japanese journal printed a photo of yellow wheat fields under blue sky with a message “no one can survive against world” (or something close). They ofc were implying it for ruzia, but ironically it seems it appeared to be about Ukraine instead. It’s one thing, already incredibly difficult, to fight ruzia, but when ruzia supported by East and West…

3. westerm delays from the get go have elongated this war. I feel like it was planned.

4. Should have could have would have. It hasn’t. Better work on doing it now.

5. I don’t think that was actually possible. It may not be possible for Ukraine to win. It may have never been possible for Ukraine to win. Life isn’t like the movies. Sometimes you lose wars.

6. The longer the war continues, the more disastrous it is for everyone. When will someone drive the primitives and criminals to where they belong? Where is the developed west?

7. Well, it’s never late to fix previous mistakes.

8. Even if Ukraine liberated all of their territory, it would just result in different frontline. Putin’s regime must fall, then there will be peace.

9. ……but wait…….it could have turned into nuclear war if ruzzia had lost – “western leaders’ logic, 2022”
