Poland is considering the potential use of its air defense systems to intercept Russian missiles near its borders, focusing on technical and legal perspectives. No decisions have been made yet.

  1. It’s a good idea, but it would need coordination to prevent Ukrainian and Polish defense from targeting each other.

Also to avoid situations where a Ukrainian interceptor confuses a Polish interceptor and both end up missing.

Also to avoid situations where both target one Russian drone, while neither targets a 2nd Russian drone.

  2. Time for NATO to treat Russia as the ailing regional power that it is.

  3. Why doesn’t NATO put their foot down and set down assets in Western Ukraine? Start drawing lines in the sand, send the Kremlin the message they will never capture the country.

  4. Three cheers for Poland… except for some of its farmers.

  5. Zelensky already said it would indemnify partners from consequences if they shot down missiles over Ukraine. So let’s not pretend that’s an issue.

It’s also disingenuous to say “oh no a missile is dangerous and could explode and cause damage to civilians” when that missle is…..*checks notes* …..on its way to bomb a civilian school.
