Really think he should resign this week, so Holyrood can set a by-election for the same day as the GE. He screwed up, and if he was an MP, his constituents would have the option to recall him.
Until we reform Holyrood to make it more accountable, it’s on him to do the honourable thing. Not that I’m hopeful, with his track record…
He should be prosecuted.
He lied to parliament and to the public to try and get his football bill paid for by the taxpayer.

In Westminster a peer was jailed for a false expenses claim for 11k. It is the same shit.
Also worth noting that because Yousaf kept him on as a minister for months after this all broke, even factoring in this suspension and paying back the 11k, he is still in the black. He made more in those months than he has lost since.
Holyrood does not have a recall mechanism, but they could have suspended his attendence and pay for the remainder of the parliament.

One of the biggest self owns in recent years. Something which should have been a “my bad” and pays the money back, has turned into his political career being destroyed because he lied, denied that be lied, and got caught out.
Why are they not held to the same standards as the private sector would be. This absolutely stinks.
