  1. How many times do they have to redo R&J?

Why not adapting one of the other thousands as interesting (and less explored) pieces of literature for once?

  2. And Madame Butterfly is 90% of the time played by a white singer… and?

  3. Its a play which 99% of you will never see. Stop making a big thing out of it.

  4. Wait… That’s a female??

Sure that ain’t a dude or one of these non binary types I keep hearing about? That cannot be a lass

  5. Doesn’t Romeo & Juliet take place in the 14th century? How is a black Juliet going to work?

  6. Who cares. Its just sensationalism. Stop paying attention to it and they’ll stop doing it

  7. Chica looks like that parisian boy setting city streets on fireeeee.

  8. Couldn’t they have cast an actor in a wheelchair or with another disability to be inclusive?

  9. People are joking about making Juliet black but she’s already been a seal, a garden gnome, a lioness, indian, american, a man, a feltpuppet pig, a cucumber and who knows what else.

I truly could not care less about who they cast to portray either role, its all been done before at this point.

  10. I’ll have you know that Sardegna Is also known as Sarfregna. Italians will understand.

Also she’s too white for being Sardinian, she’s just ugly.

  11. She have mustache? But I have better Idea. Why not to make Juliet black mustaches male over 50 and bit sexism racism and ageism at once?

  12. I agree Juliet looks a bit masculine but it’s pretty cool they convinced Didier Drogba to play Romeo.

  13. Romeo and Juliet, a gay man’s interracial love story. I can dig it.

  14. I can’t believe they miscast this so terribly. How can a barbaric Anglo Saxon like Tom Holland play an Italian?
