    It’s been 15 years and I’m still jumpy. Still don’t interact with him unless I have to (we have a son) and I avoid men.

    I know they’re not all the same.

    I know there are decent, kind men out there and I know women can be abusers too but my mind says *”hide forever, don’t trust, don’t love”*

    It’s a battle. Once someone you love uses physical violence against you it changes the fabric of who you are, permanently.
