  1. It is horrifying how Orwellian things have become in our society, but who woulda thunk “Big Brother” would be spray-tan-orange and wearing a diaper‽

*”Under the spreading chestnut tree I sold you and you sold me” ~ George Orwell, 1984*

  2. The more they threaten the more the scale tips between “this will pass” to organized resistance growing quickly.

  3. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if this drives more votes to democrats. Nobody likes being told what to do or threatened, especially a Texan.

  4. “This will go down on your permanent record” is a threat I haven’t heard since 5th grade.

  5. >“We will contact you after the election to make sure you voted. Please don’t make us report you to President Trump! We are sending an official list of Republicans who fail to vote in the upcoming runoff to President Trump. Public records show that YOU HAVE NOT VOTED. President Trump will be VERY DISAPPOINTED.”

This gives off huge spousal abuse energy. Republicans, blink your eyes three times quickly if you need assistance.

  6. Desperate measures attempting to scare weak minded voters, otherwise known as MAGA.

What the flier(s) conveniently left out was the pesky little fact that the offices and candidates you voted for are confidential and secret, *but* the fact that you voted in a particular party’s primary is public information, and your name will be listed in that party’s early voting rosters.

  7. Isn’t…that..voter intimidation…? And that’s…illegal, right? Right?!

  8. *Then they get this reply*
“Tell Not Ever President Trump to shove it up his ass.”

  9. Oh, for the love of god…and all that is holy…send me one of these… I’m begging you! 😈😈😈😈

  10. Apr 8, 2021 [After donating to the NRCC, donors are shown a yellow box with a small pre-checked box that warns: “If you UNCHECK this box, we will have to tell Trump you’re a defector!](https://archive.ph/dye8y)

  11. Do these people forget that their votes ****how they vote is confidential and people can just lie? They’re so stupid it beggars belief.

    > It adds, “We will contact you after the election to make sure you voted. Please don’t make us report you to President Trump! We are sending an official list of Republicans who fail to vote in the upcoming runoff to President Trump. Public records show that YOU HAVE NOT VOTED. President Trump will be VERY DISAPPOINTED.”

This is a threat. Voter intimidation is illegal. This is why federal poll watchers existed into the 2000s.

  12. Oh no what are you gonna do?

Rev your scooter in front of my house on the way to the walmart

  13. This is illegal. Good thing it’s Texas because the government there will do nothing about it because right wingers are doing this.

  14. Conservatism, as a political philosophy, only arose due to the fall of the monarchy.

Prior to the fall of the monarchy, there was no need for conservatism: everyone basically agreed that the rules don’t apply to the king and his friends. When the monarchy fell, conservatism arose within the falling aristocracy as an attempt to preserve this principle within the liberal democratic paradigm – but to cover it up with millions of pages of elaborate and esoteric pseudo-philosophy.

The problem now is that the rise of social media has unleashed the “TLDR” generation on liberal society, meaning that pseudo-philosophy no longer provides adequate cover for what conservatives actually want – which is to restore the monarchy and all the aristocratic privileges that surrounded it.

Thus, conservatives are now reduced to baselessly defending their king’s indiscretions and backing it up with violence. There’s nothing left to hide behind.

  15. In 8 years, imagine having the fact that you voted for Trump on your record for all eternity

  16. This is MAGA tipping its hand that it’s terrified of the Republicans losing Texas this year.

  17. This is literally illegal & is extreme political interference / intimidation.

    Fucking Nazis.

  18. Lock them up!

Where’s the DOJ? Maybe they will do something in 3 or 4 years.

  19. This shit is unfortunately not even new. Karl Rove got his start by putting out “Get Out The Vote” flyers in black neighborhoods, except they had the wrong date on them.

  20. This is criminal voter intimidation that reminds me of the East German Stasi actions before the wall fell. Having neighbors spy on neighbors was a Russian tactic for pacifying the population.

As I see it there are three possibilities – 1) This is Trump-team sanctioned, 2) This is a freelance effort by some knucklehead MAGA folks, or 3) This is a dirty trick.

Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that this flier is plausibly on-brand for Trump. We can all imagine him trying to create a Stasi-like spy network in the USA.

That is frankly amazing, and alarming. Can we say the same for any other former president, or presidential candidate? No. Even Wallace would not have gone that far. But Trump? Listen to his recent campaign speeches. It’s hard to imagine that he would not try.

  21. It’s a crime. It’s unethical. It will be allowed to continue because that’s how we run the country now.

  22. This party needs to go to the dustbin of history. Yesterday would be nice.

  23. I hate that I have to constantly hear about this moron. I hate that he still has a voice and “people” I just want all of this shit to go away. God dammit please everyone just vote against him so we can be free of all this bullshit.
