  1. Not the most useful site for those of us who’d like to tactically vote to get shot of our SNP MP.

  2. Seems that the site is still using the old boundaries so it might be worth waiting a bit for them to update. I think every Tory seat in Scotland has the SNP in second place.

  3. SNP has been shite but if someone wants tory over them, I have concerns.

  4. The problem with politics right here. Please vote based on who you think will best represent your constituency.

  5. Labour, Tories and Lib Dem’s are England first parties.

You don’t want to vote for them.

  6. Is this that site that recommends Labour even if Greens were the actual Closest option to beat Tories?

  7. Antiquated fptp needs done away with. Allowed the worse excesses of the Tory government and the likes braverman to think they were actually worth office.

  8. My seat saw a blue surge in 2017, a modest orange surge in 2019 and a yellow surge in 2015.

It is not clear at all who to vote for to unseat the corrupt SNP. This calculator does not appear to factor in the wide variance in this seat over the past 20 years.

  9. Tactical voting is anti-democratic. It encourages people to only vote for parties that already have support, which prevents any new parties from gaining votes and growing in support to rival the current parties. Tactical voting will lead us to a system like the American two party system.

I encourage everyone to avoid voting tactically and to instead vote based on who you believe is genuinely the best candidate / best party for your area.

  10. Oust the Tories to bring in Labour ? It like choosing which foot to hack off.

  11. Just vote labour. Get rid of the SNP & the Tories.

    It’s a done deal.

  12. I can see this sub becoming more cancerous than usual. People can vote how they like, and most are intelligent enough to notice the elephant in the room. For instance, I can’t see any constituency with information on how to get Labour candidates elected.

  13. Why anyone would vote for a party that’s not based in Scotland is beyond me. The Tories and the red Tories do what they are told by their bosses in England, why even bother with them?

  14. Useless in Scotland if you don’t want to vote SNP either!

Note, I’d prefer SNP to Tories, so if it was a tight seat between the two it would have to be SNP.

  15. Can we get an update, to also ensure the greens/lib Dems don’t get in

  16. Gonna reverse Uno this and use the site to vote out SNP

  17. I’m sick of blue labour and will happily vote reform. I’m expecting a labour win and for the country to continue into the shitter.

  18. Helldivers 2: “the algorithm knows how i really want to vote!”

  19. Tories, get the SNP out.

Spinney is the real Tory. Boris of Scotland, back your mates who lie about £11,000.

  20. This is how the system stays the same though, it keeps the main partys in power, people need to vote for what they believe in or the closest available party, not tactical voting or were gonna be stuck in a 2 party system until it all crashes down

  21. Huh? The Tories are going to lose. This must be a next level political move by one or the other parties to get more seats at someone else’s expense. I’m too dense to know which one but the Reddit audience is way too small to manipulate so not sure why bother.

There’s no need to vote tactically this time. The Tories are toast.

  22. I think the SNP have enough to worry about atm with baldy in charge…

  23. Surely would make sense to use up to date polling rather than last years election results. I’d imagine scandals like Partygate, the missing Covid money, Rwanda, operation Branchform, the Matheson affair, the ferries fiasco, and the constant changing of leaders has seriously impacted the popularity and credibility in the Conservatives and SNP.

I mean if you assume everything is going to be the same as the last election then the Tories have already won, when in reality they are fighting for their survival (same probably true for the SNP)
