Saw this last night. Was a wild interview as expected. Would have loved to know why going on during commercial break and Ted Cruz was still screaming about Al Gore and Hillary Clinton as Miss Collins was trying to go to commercial break.
You have to have something before you can lose it
It’s funny how they are all doing mental gymnastics to avoid outright saying they will deny the results. If they say they will accept them, they get thrown under the bus by their dear leader. If they outright refuse to accept them, they are just showing that they are outright traitors to the democratic republic that is the USA. So all of them just dance around the question with non-answers.
It’d be funny watching them struggle if it didn’t have such damn disturbing implications.
Normally I am 100% behind calling people what they wanna be called. Seems like a basic respect thing to me. BUT I want to show that I’m willing to work with people that I don’t ideologically agree with. So given his hardline stance about parents rights. And his insistence that people go by what’s on their birth certificate. Its only right to refer to him as Rafael Cruz. As that’s the first name that his parents gave him and what’s on his birth certificate.
They don’t plan on accepting the results because they are going to correct what went wrong for them in 2020. More J6 shit to come.
All Ted had to say to curry favor was: “yes, but I have issues with how the identification and mitigation of voter fraud was assessed in the past election, and I’d like for our country to be more diligent.”
Avoiding the question made him look shittier than he already is.
What an absolutely repulsive and stomach turning little toad. His republican claim that there was a peaceful transfer of power in 2020 is profoundly worthy of a broken jaw.
I wish those guys at CERN could figure out how to get us back to the good timeline. I’m tired of living in the Biff-has-a-casino timeline.
Of course there wasn’t 0 voter fraud because we keep finding more republicans that fraudulent voted in 2020! The point is ensuring it didn’t change the results of the election. These arguments are so skewed sometimes it’s a wonder these clowns can’t keep them all straight
He’s *pretending* to lose it. He knows better, and he fucking hates Trump, but he also knows if kissing the ass of the man who insulted your wife and father will keep you in office, you pucker up.

They dodge the question, give a non-answer. Then ask the question again. Repeat until you get a real answer or they’ve turned themselves into pariahs.

I’m so sick of this ongoing Republican attempt at overthrowing democracy at every level from elections, to courts, to laws, to schools, to news sources.
They’re so desperate for power, they’re willing to support a multi-indicted sexual predator conman who promises to be a dictator on day 1.
The only way we can put an end to this insanity is with a thorough trouncing in the upcoming election.
Please for the love of God and democracy, vote blue up and down the ballot.
I cannot imagine having the job of having to deflect that question every day on TV.

The really sad part is that if the fascists get power, Cruz will be sent to the camps or executed. And yet here he is.
Cruz is a lot of things but he’s not an idiot, using semantics and false equivalencies to make it seem like what happened in 2020 wasn’t a coup attempt that he very much enabled.
Props to Collins for ending the interview with stating that Cruz didn’t answer the question but he’s the textbook example of bad-faith politicking. The man shouldn’t be in congress but rather doing what we actually loves: podcasting and trolling people on Twitter.

I could be wrong, but the vast majority of fraud identified was from conservative voters and elected officials and they have absolutely ignored that fact. This election is going to be a continuation of 2020. They’ve had four years to plan, and I certainly fear that no matter the results, we all lose. The days of decency and congratulating the victor are well over. I hate this and see no way to reconcile.
If 2020 was considered a “peaceful transfer of power” to these MAGA idiots, I’m dreading trump’s last stand next winter. They’re like panicky cornered rats.
I still can’t believe anyone thinks he is worthy of their vote, I think that’s where the fraud happens.
It’s worth watching the actual interview. Two things came to mind:
– Kaitlan Collins is a terrific interviewer. Stays calm, knows her facts, controls the interview and holds her guest’s feet to the fire. She has a bright future.
– Ted Cruz is a real life Grima Wormtongue
