  9. Although Trump is probably among the smartest flat-earthers to ever walk on two feet, he’s under qualified for the job. It’s a good thing his handlers in Moscow and deep South Klan country will be helping again if he’s elected by enough other flat-earthers.

  10. When you’re part of an archaic system built primarily on demographics and outdated thinking and technology you’re going to everything you can to stay in power.

    Demographics have eroded the white land owner power base. Our country is just over 50% female and increasingly not majority Caucasian. All of which is good. We’re not predominantly Christian, which is also good.

    Culturally we’re not just Western European but not a hodpodge of cultures teat blend into what is uniquely an American one. That’s also good. You see this play out in our marketplace of ideas where tolerance has grown significantly in the last 40 years vs the stagnant prior 40.

    Technically we’ve moved beyond limitations put in place by the electoral system and slow pace of communication in 1776. Our ability to get information and share it has greater than its every been which means there is little reason for barriers to voting except ones for exclusion and control.

    Even the notion of electoral districts makes less and less sense as what makes up the local populace keeps changing? I work in a completely remote company and interact with friends who live all over the country. Are we a voting block? Why does some local lines on a map truly matter when a chunk of the people on that map don’t align with me and vice versa? Why can’t my vote count in supporting any state or federal poltician vs some narrowly defined and highly rigged system designed to entrench power?

    All of this change is scary to the established system and there is really nothing they can do to stop it except dig into corruption.

  26. And if Trump drops dead or miraculously ends up in prison they’ll find someone else to take his place. It’ll be tough because the guy really has a following but it’s not him specifically they want. He’s just popular enough for them to garner the support they need to make it happen. This scheme has been in the works for decades, long before Trump was in the scene, and it will continue long after he’s gone. Trump is not the disease, he’s the symptom.

If we have a god king dictator, is it not our Responsibility to fight to topple it, regardless of the personal cost? If the institutions left standing support the god king, is it not our responsibility to topple those as well?
