On April 24, Hansi Flick informed a Barça player that he has been chosen to coach Barça next season. Hours later, Joan Laporta managed to convince Xavi to stay. The player then informed Flick of the club’s decision. Both did not understand, while Flick and his agent got angry. @ferrancorreas

  1. On April 24th, when most board members thought Laporta won’t keep Xavi, Flick was informed by his agent that he’ll be the 2024/25 coach — he even told this to a Barça player he has good relations with. But then the club announced Xavi’s continuity. @ferrancorreas

  2. I would never believe this normally, but after seeing the recent news and how it’s seemingly true, I think this may have actually happened.

  3. This sounds completely fabricated… If you believe all of this stuff coming out then I got ocean front property to sell you in Kansas 😉

  4. And remember the board then vehemently denied they were negotiating with any coaches? Take a shot everytime the board lies

  5. This is what I mean when I say Spanish median is basically all gossip. Why didn’t this leak earlier? The thought process is basically: Flick is hot again and he was before as well > make up a situation between the two instances

  6. Hire this guy before he realizes what he is getting into. Since most other options are gone or out of reach its best to wrap this up before he gets cold feet and see how he does

  7. Even the upcoming manager is confused, what a shitshow
