The two in Pinner, opposite sides of the road outside both the (administrative base) Police Station and Oddfellows pub in the shot above were done on Sunday morning about 2am.
I was told by a postal worker that forensics recovered a note but that the police wouldn’t say what the note said – local village suggestion is people pissed off about the vans parking on the street overnight outside their house (they used to park in the council car park behind the pub but that was closed to have flats built – flats that have now been sitting empty for years but that’s another story).
But setting fire to 2 vans for parking in the street seems a bit extreme, and to do so outside your own house would be plain dumb.
There were a lot of people rolled out of The Three Wishes (about 100m down the hill) after the boxing finished, but I take it they’d all dispersed by the time the vans were lit as I haven’t heard of any witnesses coming forward.
