I don’t think it matters. Pick one and go with it. It’s not like when flying to Dublin to get shitfaced, driving on the left and panicking in a roundabout because the traffic is on the other side of the road.
Red countries may as well be America, Ireland is included so they’d fit right in. Who does things backwards?
This is why the red countries a superior… Closest city is closest to the driver, and easy to read without having to move your vision totally away from the road as it is lowest on the sign.
