Russians advance towards Kharkiv | Terrorists stealing washing machines | Ukraine Update: Day 821

  1. Kharkiv, a city of over a million people is under daily bombardment by russia. Over 20,000 homes have been destroyed since the start of the war. The situation is similar to the Blitz in London during WW2. russia is hitting the centre of Kharkiv daily with glide bombs. It has targeted fire stations throughout the region with Iranian drones. It uses 'double tap' strikes to kill first responders. Civilians die every day. Since December 2023, Kharkiv has been hit by more missiles than at any other point in the war. These are war crimes.
    Kharkiv has up to 12 air raid alerts every day. Because of the proximity to the front line, they have only about 40 seconds to get to cover from ballistic missiles. russia is trying to destroy the city and cause another wave of refugees. This is what russia does. This is who they are.

  29. I see my comment was not posted. Trying again. Kharkiv is being slowly destroyed, a pattern "polite" Russia has used on the whole front. The US will probably approve use of weapons in Russia, after pressure. This has been a pattern. Troops and weapons are being built up in Russia north of Kharkiv and Sumy that Ukraine should be allowed to destroy before they cross the border. Ukraine should receive promised weapons NOW, not spread out. Where the hell are the F 16s that have been delayed. Very disturbing: there seem to be cracks in Ukrainian moral and too many people responding on notifications: "too many people are dying on both sides, let's end the bloodshed now".
