He has the ability to change the game out of nowhere, but I don’t like the fact that he complains all the time on the pitch.
has been pretty inconsistent and very poor at times. i’d say a poor season from him considering his capability and the expectations that are set of him
he’s been awful like most of our players. The class is there, but he needs to control himself better and learn that sometimes, more is less. His decision making is still all over the place. With Motta I presume he’ll be playing wider rather than as a seconda punta, which will be much better for him. Lets hope he can stay in form and more importantly, healthy
Like others have said, he’s capable. And I believe he’s got the potential to be a world class player.
That being said, he’s been terrible this season imo. And I absolutely hate how much he complains on the pitch, which in turn will drag other players morale down.
Rooting for Italy last euros he was my favourite player and was excited for his future at Juventus, but after the injury and the season he’s had, mixed in with the complaining.. I wouldn’t be opposed to selling him if a lucrative offer came in for him.
I liked watching him play. He seems to be a lot more explosive on the ball whereas everyone else plays a bit more stock(?). I’m sure not how else to describe it.
Not on the same level as pre-injury.
He wants to, but he just cant at this Moment in time
Average at best 70% of all time, 30% pretty good at times
Still love him.
Objectively he’s not been as good as I imagine him to be. But still so much quality. As others have said it’s often decision making that lets him down, he really tries to force the issue, but when it works it’s beautiful.
Personally I want to see him on the right wing a bit more. I know the left might be more natural for him? But I seem to remember some excellent games from him coming from the right.
Love the guy.
I think he held back all season to stay healthy for the euros.
Meh
Out of position, he is less effective and more frustrated. Want to see if he improves playing in his natural spot and gets rid of the moaning
He hasn’t been great in general. He had a few very strong games but has also been extremely inconsistent. Bad decision making at critical times has been a bit frustrating.
Nevertheless, I think most of his bad plays were due to the lack of options to develop an attack. Often he has been trying to overcome defenders unsuccessfully but in a lot of these cases there were simply no other options. I don’t remember our midfield being very supportive and offering potential combinations to Chiesa throughout the season. Our link up between midfield and offensive has been really poor. Also the wing backs / wide midfielders have rarely offered support to him.
So all in all, Chiesa has often struggled due to lack of support and options do develop an attack which is in part due to his problems with fitness since the injuries but mostly due to the general state of Juves attack.
I hope that a classy offensively minded midfielder can change this.
It didn’t work for him new position but you can see that he tried his best. Also didn’t help that for a while he was the first player to get subbed out, but overall he was one of the best imo
Played out of position, had some injuries when he played he was inconsistent so all in all an underwhelming season. But I still believe he can be a great player for us.
He recovered very well after the ugly injury on the knee. Above expectations in my opinion.
Gamechanger in general for sure, this season he’s been lacking. For the past few years his knee has been mentioned but I honestly think he could thrive under a different system and it’s the system holding him back.
These next games could show a different side of him now with allegri gone but time will tell if he was the problem or not
