All contractual details between Bayern and Vincent Kompany have been agreed. 3-year contract until 2027. He will bring Floribert Ngalula as assistant coach and Bram Geers as athletic coach. René Maric will also join the staff as assistant coach. Now all that’s missing is the agreement with Burnley

  1. Our coaching staff will be really young. All the assistants listed are even younger than Kompany. So far it feels like the fresh start we desperately need. Now Eberl and Freund have to do their magic on the transfer market.

  2. Adding Maric to the coaching staff is a very good decision. He deserves it too

  3. A young staff could be refreshing.However, I remember last time we had younger people as the main staff/coaching team, some older players just didn’t get along with them. It’s sometimes hard to accept advice or orders from younger people.

  4. More important is our medical staff.

    Athletic is great but we have had a squad of injured players all season. Epic in the wrong way. Never seen that before. However, even available the quality and mental stability of at least a third of them is to doubt anyway.

    It’s a risky move but so is everything this club does nowadays.

  8. I for one am actually excited for this. Someone young and fresh (yes I know we had Nagelsmann) instead of like Xavi or Ten Hag or whomever else we were linked with.
