  1. This isn’t stellaris where you just get to settle the status quo

  2. Freeze the ‘conflict’ **and** recognise the territorial gains? What a gift! Who could have expected something so generous?

  3. And then next year they’d be back for the rest of Ukraine.

  4. Recognizing territorial conquest in Europe in 2024. For fuck’s sake, outstanding. Their word is worth shit either way

  5. Hell no, this isn’t Burger King, he can’t simply have it his way.

  6. This is an admission that Putin knows he is losing and could be costly as the west continues to add defenses against Russian expansion.

  7. No matter how it ends, it will end with NATO being on the border of whatever Russia considers “their land”. Either with “new Russia” bordering Poland, or with Ukraine conceding its lost territory and joining NATO and then having NATO on the border of Donetsk. Or with Ukraine fully regaining it’s territory and having NATO bordering the UN recognized borders of Russia.

So you see, it never really was about “security guarantees” because no matter how the war ends, it ends with Russia bordering NATO, which is opposite of what Putin said he wanted.

  8. Does anyone trusting putin anymore, i mean c’mon you gotta be an idiot.

  9. no he is not. this is a fake to blame Ukraine for not wanting peace

  10. Do this and in 2 to 5 years Russia will be at the border of Ukraine with a remobilized and more advanced military right at about the same time China invades Taiwan.

It up to Ukraine in the end and it could be worth ageeing to hand over that territory that the Russians have conquered if the rest of Ukraine immediately joins NATO. I say that grudgingly and would only support it if its what Ukraine wished to do, but it would be a terrible precedent to set that in the 21st Century territorial conquest will be recognized internationally.

I would prefer if the West flooded Ukraine with enough arms to drive Russia out, but I also dont think that is very likely either unfortunately.

  11. Just like he “froze” the 2 Minsk agreements and violated the Budapest memorandum?

  12. He sees the writing on the wall with the West recently open about Ukraine using its gear to attack Russias territory

  13. Propaganda tactic to paint the west as “warmongers” when this fake ceasefire (AKA full on capitulation) deal is inevitably rejected.

    Ignore this.

  14. We’ve already done this in Georgia, Moldova, and even eastern Ukraine a few years ago. It doesn’t solve the problem. It just rewards Russia with extra territory and time to prepare for the next invasion.

  15. When you frantically press the save button before the boss fight(F-16).

So, what are the benefits for Ukraine? None, i see.. Vlad is smart.

  16. Freezing at these lines would be a Russian tactical win because UKR economy relies on these region.

UKR would rely heavily on the EU for bailout after bailouts, and be a weight around the EU for decades.

  17. If I was being stomped as hard as he is, I’d want it to stop too. He just knows his “army” is gonna really struggle this winter. I hope he isn’t worried he won’t get his pile of 800,000 dead Russians. Which, of course he’s gonna blame on the West.

  18. Pause it before the US aid shows up and resume it pending the outcome of the US election

  19. “We’ll stop fighting if you just give us what we want.”

  20. Word of a liar … completely worthless. He just needs some time to restock and then it will start again.

  21. My God, the Russian net Trolls and bots are out in force today, they are really trying to push this narrative. Probably because they see the aid tap opening up again for the Ukrainians including air power from F-16s and they know they shall soon be in trouble.

  22. Didn’t work for Hamas. Won’t work here either. Giving Russia time to restock and train new conscripts is not in Ukraines interests.

  23. This is like I’m playing a game of Civ6 and I’m trying bully the weaker enemy to either give me the land, cities, great people etc etc i wanted or i will keep the war going knowing that other world powers will condemn me but it doesn’t really matter as there is only about 20-30 turns left of the game anyways and i have nukes.

  24. Sounds like a good deal. Ukraine could join NATO in the mean time.

  25. *invading crimea*

„Ok ok ok dont fight. Pause Game“

    *invading more of ukraine*

„Ok ok ok dont fight. Pause Game“

  26. Well, the best thing he can do is for his soldiers and army to put down their weapons, because you can bet that Ukraine is not going to put down theirs… only when the Country is made whole and returned back to the Borders that existed prior to 2014…

  27. Does that mean Putin will recognize the portion of belgorod that the freedom for Russia legion has gained? It still is a Russian gain technically

  28. This means this is the time to keep targeting objectives in Russian soil while playing defend on own ground . Fuck Putin, if Ukraine agrees to a ceasefire, guess who’ll come back next year to attack again?

  29. I could see Putin pausing the war, getting the country back in somewhat of an order and invading again.

  30. Maybe get fucked you goblin. Unlock all weaponry to be used wherever Ukraine likes. He wanted a war, stop giving him the gift of this asymmetric warfare.

  31. Time to ramp up an offensive. No rest for Russia as long as they occupy Ukrainian soil. Putin wants a break, then GTFO.

  32. Would probably be a good time for Ukraine to go on the attack.
