  2. any footage or experiences on the Leopard 1A in action? saw picture with ERA and all in all its probably to be considered a light tank but are they helpful. does anyone know?

  3. People usually talk about the tanks, but it cannot be overstated how important engineering vehicles are!

  4. Tank on tank is virtually non existent in this stage of the war. Russia is avoiding western tanks like the plague, because they don’t want to give them a confirmed kill. So tanks are used as uncontested infantry support and indirect fire role, mostly falling to mines, ATGMs, artillery, and drones.

    In this framework it does not matter as much if the tank is a Leo 1, M55s, Challenger 2, Leo 2, Abrams or T-72, T-80 derivative. The one with best aim works best, and here western tanks or western tech upgraded are still better.

    Either way Ukraine needs way more than 10 Leo1A5 per month to turn this defensive into -> clearing its territory of Russian occupiers.

    As a European national I think that the countries of the EU should pass over all of these pledges and organization to the EU. Some nations can but drag their feet, some want to but can’t as much as they ‘d want, many are in the middle. At least for Ukraine aid we could centralize it.
