I'm on the hunt for a skilled website developer to help me build a responsive modern business website. Ideally, I'd like to find someone with experience working in Finland to reduce the likelihood of being scammed abroad. Also if they provide SEO optimization for the Finnish market, that would be perfect.
Does anyone have any recommendations for reliable developers they've had positive experiences with? Or companies? I've been in touch with a few from Zoner.fi, and a few didn't have any project examples but were demanding a premium price which kind of put me off as project examples are very important to me, and then there were some who clearly designed "blog" style looking pages that weren't visually modern oriented and were asking for a similar price, basically took a basic WordPress template and didn't do much to it, and slapped a premium price on it kind of thing, which is fine for some companies, but not for what I am currently looking for. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Also, if you've had experience with other than Finnish website developers I am open to your feedback.

What stops you from just setting up a WordPress site and maybe pay for a nice template instead. It is really not so much work or complicated to do these things yourself.
You can get a hoster for less than a fiver per month, all you have to do is set it up.
