Fucking ALL of them, Um Bongo, R Whites, DFS, Club biscuits, Kia Ora, Roses, Trebor, Fudge, Milky Way… you name it, the bastard’s wedged in my memory banks. Along with all the kids programme theme tunes of the 80s.
Thankyou, I’m not alone being caught singing this to myself then.
Related, does anyone else remember a brand of mints called ‘Softies’? They were very similar to the Trebor soft mints but came in a plastic wrapper rather than foil and paper. The sweets themselves were in two colours, white and blue, alternated in the packet.
I regularly ate them in the 90s but can’t find any existence of them online.
This advert used to give my girlfriend at the time the creeps – to the extent that she had to leave the room if it came on.
Just reeled it off without even playing the video. I remember this no problem, but anything from year 9 French? Forget it (although now I’m thinking about it, I do remember how to say the French alphabet, and that was a little song too)
Trebor mints are a minty bit stronger
Opal fruits made to make your mouth water
Armadillos!
Nuts whole hazelnuts oh! Cadbury’s take ‘em and they cover them in chocolate
Everyone’s a fruit and nut case
I didn’t know until recently it was an actual song. Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel:
