The headlines about crowd sizes and MAGAs inability to comprehend why Biden could win without drawing fake crowds like they feel Trump does is a very good example of the parallel universe they live in that right wing propaganda has created. They are reporting numerous small lies like this daily 24/7 that serve to construct a completely different understanding of what is actually happening, physically in shared reality and there’s little to no repercussions for doing so… If you’re only listening to rightwing sources you are fundamentally in a different reality than the one everyone else actually lives in.

    People who voted for Trump said in 2020 that Biden couldn’t have won because nobody “saw” his supporters at any rallies or wearing Biden hats, etc. Obviously, Biden didn’t do rallies because of Covid at the time, and I imagine most sensible voters don’t need to fully be draped in their preferred candidate’s attire, but that’s besides the point. For people who don’t venture outside their rightwing disinformation bubbles, they will believe these imaginary crowd numbers because they’re that easy to manipulate.
