Justice Alito’s refusal to recuse himself in Jan. 6 cases sends up red flags

1. SCOTUS justices only recuse themselves when their side either is definitely winning or definitely losing.

2. He could shoot Kagan in open court, and other than pausing to have it cleaned up, nothing would happen.

3. He knows there is nothing you can do about it. Besides they are not going to give Trump immunity. They are just going to road block the case so it cannot be heard this year.

   If you gave the president immunity then one day they may regret that ruling when the liberal version of Trump starts throwing judges and politicians in black sites to protect national security.

4. Dick Durbin “_has said he is thinking_” about holding hearings. Op ed basically argues that it’s long past time to have some hard, enforceable ethics rules.

5. Why would anyone think a supreme court justice who flew not one, but two flags in support of insurrectionists, would recuse himself in any cases involving insurrection.

   The issue is Republicans in congress not doing anything about it. And by extension, us for electing those idiots.

7. God I hate them, the shady special interest groups behind them, and the middle Americans who agree with them and support MAGA as a whole.

   It feels like what we’re seeing is a decades long plan by conservative special interest groups to use the systems of democracy to turn said democracy into an authoritarian christofascist dystopia.

   When I say hate, I certainly don’t mean it in the same way I hate pineapple on pizza.

9. Alito knows that a flag is nothing compared to a spouse participating in a coup, and if that Justice isn’t recusing then he sure as fuck won’t either.
