By suffering another 1,140 casualties yesterday, russia managed to lose its 500,000th soldier in Ukraine.
Half a million! The last weeks have been like a speed run to achieve that horrible milestone, with the exact
number now standing at 500,080.
To top it off, May 2024 set a monthly casualty record a week before the month is out. russia lost 30,240 soldiers
as of today, surpassing the previous record of 29,970 set in December 2023.
Over the last 30 days, their casualties amount to 37,100 – a new record as well. This gives an indication of what to expect at the end of the month.
Regarding equipment losses, several categories are currently on track to set new records too, including armored personnel carriers (APC), vehicles and fuel tanks, artillery systems, and UAV.
The diagrams are all created by me for this subreddit directly from the data provided in the daily updates of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

I cannot believe 1000+ a day is the new normal.
I just really hope UAF losses haven’t jumped as dramatically. I know a lot of “realists” here believe it’s no worse than 3:1, but they are in denial of the meatwave attacks and artillery accuracy difference that can skew the ratio further.
Half a million lives lost due to the Kremlin’s egotistical arrogance 🙁

That 7 day record mean figure… Putin was really banking on the new offensive to break Ukraine’s defenses and it failed miserably. Thank fuck the aid made it to the frontlines at that critical point.
