I found Baby Reindeer’s real life Martha in minutes says reporter – all it took was three key words
in the course of your relationship with Richard Gad you send him 41,000 emails 350 voice messages 744 tweets 48 Facebook messages and 106 letters that’s simply not true um if somebody was sending somebody 41,000 emails or something they’d be doing how many a day I think it was difficult to watch it was obviously very interesting to see you know the real life Martha’s take on things but it is so drastically different from what is portrayed in Richard G version of events on the Netflix program we obviously know a lot about the real life Martha and she obviously contested a lot of that with peers um I felt like maybe he could have pushed her a little bit further on some of those points that we do know about like her trip to jail and the fact that she had multiple phones access to his phone number uh all of which she denied on the program but it was quite groundbreaking to see you know her side of the story all of this would come out in a in disclosure yes and you’re prepared to do that yes because I didn’t write him the emails who do you think did I have no idea I think he probably made them up in s I’ve no idea I think people would find the fact that she denied uh you know the 41,000 emails the hundreds of voicemails the tweets as quite revolation because people have found evidence of that online and there must have been some evidence of that in order for the series to have a basis at all uh for me the most shocking part was uh the turn of phrases that Fiona used to describe Richard uh she said that he was psychotic misogynistic um the way that she shifted The Narrative to me was the bombshell in itself I found the identity of real life Martha probably about five or six minutes after watching the first three episodes at the screening uh which I didn’t think it was going to be that easy but just from watching the first three episodes there were some key words I was able to pull out lawyer MP a disabled son you know things that Richard G had found out online about Fiona Harvey and within five minutes I found an article online from 2004 which actually named Fiona and linked her to a very very similar crime to that which is detailed in the Netflix program so it did really take only five minutes and then obviously finding photos of her online and trying to match her up with what the Netflix portrayal of her was with Jessica gunning it was I would say quite easy though I am fairly internet Savvy but many people on Tik Tok Instagram on Facebook and Reddit were very easily able to find her identity within days and confirm it pretty much you know 100% before this interview Netflix Netflix have said that these details are uh the real ones that this is this is this exact completely incorrect well you know Benjamin King from Netflix came out this morning saying that they really did take as many precautions as they possibly could to uh you know keep Martha’s identity hidden could they have done more possibly but then would it have affected the story maybe you know and this is Richard gad’s story you know his LIF tale about his experience of being at the hands of a serial stalker the whole point of the story I guess was to Showcase what he’d been through uh and as he said at the screening uh to the press and people that were there you know he wanted to share this part of his life in order to help other people who had been through similar experiences come forward and hope that it would be you know inspirational for other men who had been stalked or abused so it’s difficult really because they could have obviously done more to conceal the identity in my eyes however if they had done that perhaps they wouldn’t have been you know doing Richard story Justice switching from one story to another perhaps she doesn’t even quite remember how it happened it was quite a long time ago but you know it’s difficult because we’ve seen Richard’s portrayal of the events now we’ve heard about what Fiona thinks they’re obviously drastically different and it’s turned into this kind of he said she said R but I think what’s important is to not take away from Richard’s victim statement which I guess is the entirety of the show itself I you know I was talking to somebody it’s pretty rude to interrupt so he seemed to be obsessed with me from that moment I think the entirety of this Now lies in the hands with of Richard Gad you know it was his Testament his story uh and at the screening he said you know he wanted to put this chapter of his life to bed and that’s why he made baby reindeer you know to get it out there to embrace it he said I couldn’t keep going like I was going inside and I needed to get away from the this dark ter so the whole show was his way of you know voicing what had happened to him I think it’s therefore his decision whether or not he wants to come forward and show proof I don’t think necessarily that would bod too well for you know in the in the wider respects victims to have to come forward and show a relative amount of proof in order to be believed I think we should try and you know take both sides of the story uh and put together what we think and feel about it based on the evidence that we can see uh without putting pressure for more evidence to be put out there I think if Richard Gad is satisfied with the version of the story he’s put out he shouldn’t feel the need to explain we have a habit in the media these days of whenever we are able to uncover a villain or a criminal that they tend to end up in the public eye and actually perhaps some of them find that quite enjoyable I don’t think Fiona is necessarily after the Limelight but it has given her an opportunity to take it and I do think that is quite a dangerous turn of events giving someone who’s accused of quite serious crimes and you know has been whether she denies it or not bailed previously for stalking crimes I don’t necessarily think it’s the right thing to do for her to have too much space to speak um because they do think it takes away from Richard’s version of events which are true or not not true or if they’ve been emphasized in any way which I personally believe they haven’t um you know the story is still there the story is still important and the focus shouldn’t really be taken away from the importance of the story and you know Charities today have come forward there’s one charity in the UK saying that they’ve had an 80% increase of male victims of abuse coming forward that’s staggering after watching uh baby reindeer so I think that’s the important part of the entirety of the series and that we should perhaps you know try and turn away from too much attention on Fiona uh because she might take it the wrong way and think that she has the power to you know try and excuse some of the behaviors which took place Pierce didn’t really leave any stone unturned uh of the stones available I think to turn in an interview like that with uh such a sensitive subject and two very varying um versions of events with two people who have obviously suffered uh and both I think Richard Gad would agree have you know had their own life experiences which had caused them to have some kind of you know uh need some kind of help or with their mental health uh so it’s very difficult it was very difficult for Pierce to kind of tiptoe around uh the obvious but perhaps uh PE being peers I would have liked for him to push a little bit more uh on her kind of changing narratives changing stories uh and the fact that she kept uh kind of misquoting herself and changing her mind about how many phones she had access to whether or not she contacted Richard for how long she contacted Richard uh for how often she used to go into the pub in Camden for example that he worked in uh there was a lot of chop and change and I think uh he could have had a chance maybe to uh hone in a little bit more on that so you’re denying sending anything to him there may have been a couple of emails text messages no Facebook messages nope I’m not sure where the story is going to go from here um and I do think that would all depend on um whether or not Fiona continues to speak out and whether or not Richard decides to speak out in return you know he was very clear uh after the series came out that he did not want anyone to go after the real life people in the series that he wanted people to stop uh searching for them online and he has so far remained relatively quiet uh on the reaction to Fiona’s interiew view so I don’t think that this is going to go any further unless uh Richard of course decides to speak out or show further evidence to his side of the events I mean he was very clearcut in the screening that this was as I’ve said you know the end of the road for this particular chapter of his life he’s working on other projects uh he’s going to start doing other things he’s moving on you know he’s had this dark period that he needed to voice uh he needed to get out so that he could you know put it to bed and continue with his uh career
The real-life alleged stalker in Baby Reindeer last night admitted having four mobile phones and six email addresses — but denied ever hounding the show’s creator.
Law graduate Fiona Harvey, 58 — said to have inspired the Netflix drama — accused Richard Gadd of being a “psychotic misogynist” whose hit series is “completely untrue”.
She told of horrendous abuse she has suffered since “sleuths” tracked her down, including death threats.
And, in a no-holds-barred interview with Piers Morgan, Fiona vowed to sue Netflix and Gadd, 34, over the “defamatory” depiction of her as Martha.
The seven-parter, written by and starring Gadd, sees barman Donny Dunn stalked by a Scottish woman called Martha after he gives her a free cup of tea out of sympathy.

a definition of a stalker is,when two people go on a romantic walk, but only one of them knows about it.😂
I find it somewhat unlikely any man would be obsessed with her, so I fully believe his story.
Acabei de ver um vídeo falando sobre isso.
É tudo verdade. 😳😳😳
Just playing devils advocate here , but does this woman deserve to be dragged through all this so Netflix and Richard make millions while she gets nothing but grief …. Especially if she is not compos mentis ????
I would think that Netflix’s lawyers would have seen the actual evidence that Mr Gadd was able to produce, before any sort of series would have been made or buying the rights for his play/show, or is it just a case of wishful thinking that Netflix would have done their due diligence beforehand?
The media is just exploiting a mentally ill person for clicks at this point and it doesn't seem ethical. Maybe you should put the same amount of energy into identifying and shaming the male producer that drugged and raped Gadd instead of hyper focusing on a woman who is clearly not well and has known issues staying grounded in reality instead? (edited due to typo)
Ain't no way she is going to sue
its clear shes absolutely nuts
This needs to stop. She is clearly mentally ill. We all advocate for better mental health awareness and yet we ridicule the mentally ill. Yes before someone says it she chose to go on the show…she's mentally unwell she likely believes everything she's saying. Remember that show is based on enough truth to expand on to make a drama. It's not all true. What she did was wrong but he let her think he had feelings for her for a laugh with his mates. He knew she wasnt right. If we can see it so did he. I doubt she has had many friends in her life and probably never a boyfriend and probably very lonely. Can you imagine someone pretending to be interested in you and it turns out it's just for a laugh? That's just cruel. He brought this on himself. She needs help not plastered all over the media. Piers Morgan should be ashamed of himself for exploiting what is obviously a mentally ill woman for ratings.
How do you sleep at night? The way you justify your muck raking is disturbing, especially when Richard expressed that he didn't want that to happen. The fact that you wanted her to be pushed more, its just weird
Hmmm. My sympathy begins to wane when I see the allegation that this woman phoned social services and fabricated a case against a woman who fired her, claiming her former boss had hit a child. That is as low as a person can go.
“Found me in minutes? It’s easy to find people, isn’t it?!”~Fiona probably
I don’t believe he started it so game hungry
So what’s the name of the court case where Fiona was convicted of a crime, please?
As soon as someone says “there must have been evidence” you can take it as read they’ve not done the necessary research for the point they’re making.
Has this journalist not heard of ‘innocent until proven guilty’? No evidence = defamation. Let’s see the evidence, please.
Of course he has to show proof! Unless she was convicted, he is not a "victim"; he is a complainant.
When the emails are made public, she'll probably blame all of her 9 cats for using her 6 cell phones.
Absolutely coming through 🪁🏉⚾may be it going to come Around..
The victim always remembers every detail. The perpetrators never do, they never remember and they always find a way to turn it around on the victim. I know. 23 years ago for me and though I’ve recovered to an extent after years in therapy, it never really goes away.
Shes cute. Girl in the video i mean
Proof of the amount of emails and messages proves the stalking. The victim doesn’t hide his own bad choices being self deprecating. In creating the story his Dad’s experience is revealed. Why would he choose to make that up. So to me that indicates the truthfulness of his account.
And making alot of money helps to
41k emails can happen. She post like 20 times a day on her Facebook!!
Its a really easy case to solve. If she takes this to court its gonna be super easy to see who is right or wrong. I dont believe in stories, I wanr evidences
I follower richard gadd around for 5mins and bumped in to her. Netfliz should have done a better job of keeping her away 😂
Actually she said she has 4 phones 📱📱📱📱
Why does netlix have a duty but the news oaper doesnt?
Wouldn't surprise me if it was some sort of publicity stunt.
You should not have outed her.shame on you.
I thought media like publishers for example did background checks when publishing a true story or biography
You shouldnt have searched for her, search for the assaulter !
Were you able to verify if she has a police record for either Richard or the politician?
41,000 emails would equal 112 emails a day for a year. Aaron Carter said his OTHER stalker Randilynn emailed him 300 times a day (her and her friend, so around 600 a day between the 2)
So her writing 112 a day isn't impossible, especially if its within a couple years time.
He also kept telling her to leave her alone (on his, theyre still online) and she would get blocked and create new screen names.
So its Possible.
I say OTHER stalker becaise HIS ex fiance is his main stalker, she and Randilynn would try to out stalk and harass each other)
I feel bad for Richard for what he went through with Fiona.
Maybe they were both in on it? He makes a show, (show is really popular right now, making all kinds of money) and not long after the show is released, the "media" finds the real martha ? 🤔
