what was your reaction when you first heard uh worried really because there’s so many elderly people down here and I haven’t been too well um you just don’t know what what it is with the water and how do you think that the Southwest water dealing with it um well I think they’re trying to do the best they can you know it’s a difficult situation because it’s say so many elderly people and um I I know especially in brickson there’s a hell of a lot of people being uh uh being taken ill with it well we found out on Facebook and um Southwest water were denying all knowledge and um people you know kept reporting they were calling and um it it sort of went on from there really so we’ve just been following it on Facebook
People have been told to boil their drinking water after 22 cases of a waterborne disease were confirmed in and around a town in Devon, South West England.
South West Water said: “Customers in Alston and the Hillhead area of Brixham are advised to boil their drinking water before consuming following new test results for cryptosporidium.”
