Why Italians be such woke politically correct self-hating snowflakes?

  1. Because of Mohammed ripped in hell? Dante put even popes amongst the eternal flames. Anyway, I just read that the children have to read Boccaccio instead, they’re in for some surprises.

Fun fact: a chapel inside the Basilica of Saint Petronio in Bologna Is protected because there’s a fresco by Giovanni da Modena representing the scene in the Divine Comedy with Mohammed, probably the only one with an image of him in Europe and Islamists have threatened to destroy the fresco a few times.

  2. It’s just a dumb professor. Ironically they’ll substitute the study of the Comedìa with studying Boccaccio (the first lecture about Dante’s work and the man who added the adjective Divina), which obviously wrote only strictly puritan stuff didn’t he, the Decameron has absolutely zero sexual/*sinful* references of course.

You’d think that school would be the place where integration and adoption of the Italian culture is done, instead you remove from their study list the father of the language and of the nation? Sounds smart.

And this just for the Canto XXVIII of Inferno in which there’s Mohammed? So a Catholic can’t read it because of Bonfacius VIII? Or a Pisano because of (rightful) insults to Pisa (merda)?

  3. Dante took no prisoners and described all kinds of people in hell. He’d like this sub.

  4. In my country Christians are supposed to study some parts of the quran and hadith alongside Muslims because the Quran is structured like Arab poetry so even if they don’t believe in it they should study it for literary purposes as part of the Arabic language curriculum, the same thing should apply here

  5. Idk.

We have uni students protesting for 🇵🇸 while or country is constantly going to shit since ever.

  6. To be fair each of the European countries hosting a sizeable share of Muslims has to deal with certain issues in order to protect social order.
As far as I know, for example, there are no “Muslims enclaves” in Italy where police has no access to, while in other countries, say UK, but also Belgium and many more, there are areas where the government has no control over (and stay away from), and are literally regulated by Muslim citizens policing the streets according to sharia laws.

I’d say that if 1 (one) teacher decides to be an obtuse imbecile, we can consider ourselves pretty lucky, compared.

  7. Fair game if they are also exempted from their voting rights.

If you do not like the culture of the country in which you are staying as a guest, then pack your stuff go back to Sharialand.

  8. Im as northern as they come, but i bet that this shit didn’t happen in the south.

  9. I would of thought their current government would be against that kind of censorship

  10. New business idea just dropped, I’m making a religion to exempt kids from doing mathematics(the fruit of the devil) but they have to pay a monthly fee

  11. Minority should adapt to the majority not the other way around

  12. Dante is down there with his brother Vergil fighting demons to protect this planet and people are judging him for something he wrote on his diary some hundred years ago …

    People change you know?

  13. the crime here is that any one has to study this dante nigca

  14. its not like I don’t get why, but it’s kinda funny, how you just ban literature from someone fictional or not, cause you’re afraid it might change their worldview or some shit

  15. First of all, it was the professor’s (dumb) idea, not the kids. Of course it’s incredibly stupid.

Second, Dio cane e Allah porco
