  1. Huh, when they mentioned the “3 days of supplies including bottled water” in case of “floods/power cuts/cyber attack” I was thinking it would be more likely to be linked to the disease found in the taps in Devon and a prediction of more of that coming.

    Guess I was spot on.

  2. Not that I’m excusing the utter state of our water companies, but there is a lot of norovirus around at the moment. Wife got sick in Italy last week, I’m still terrified I’m going to get it.

  3.  Congratulations.

Thanks to the wonders of privatisation and the benefits of bringing competition to strategic resources. We now have reached peak efficiency!

Yes you get a lot of shite in your drinking water. The rivers and watercourses are polluted, the public sewers don’t work and water pipes lose tens of billions of litres of treated water a day through leaks. But we have managed to make a lot of people very rich.

And the best part is, we now get to use more public money to put it right, meaning more rich people with connections can get richer through the infrastructure projects!

Up next week: How we gave away 86% of North Sea oils value, but on the plus side. We have some of the most exciting and volatile energy prices in the developed world!

  4. Who would’ve thought that allowing the water companies to fill our rivers and waterways with sewage would have consequences.

  5. Remember to prepare for emergencies like this. Stock up on essentials, it’s going to be a common occurrence.

  6. Better increase bills another 50% more than the eyewatering rise they have planned in order to fix this

  7. See! We’re getting bugs in our water as a bonus for the price rises! That’s what you call buy one get one free /s

  8. This is a pointless comment – total speculation.

I only drink bottled water. But my dog got really sick this week. The vet said he’s seen an outbreak recently of dogs with a vomiting bug.

  9. And they want us to bail them out the shit they can fuck right off

  10. Is it safe to wash fruit with tap water before eating them?

  11. Now it is clear why the government have been advising the electorate to stock up on emergency foods and bottled water. They were briefed about this in advance by the water companies and are trying tolook competent.

In fact the shit has hit the fan. Register to vote and vote. Everyone eligible.
