  1. >The two Voronezh-DMs at the facility ~are a key part of~ Russia’s larger strategic early warning network and their loss, even temporarily, could only degrade the country’s ability to detect incoming nuclear threats.

Russia is the only country who expresses those threats with any regularity (even North Korea lags behind), so I don’t see whose nuclear attacks Russia should need to be able to detect.

  2. It is a big deal. We should make sure that Ukraine has the systems that made this capable in quantity so they can slap the orcs around some more.

  3. There are nine Voronezh radars operational as of right now, and damage doesn’t seem to be extensive. Definitely a morale boost for Ukraine and it will certainly force Russia to divert resources to protect it from further attacks, but it doesn’t do much for degrading Russia’s early detection capabilities.

  4. You see comrade, if radar system explodes that’s early warning that attack might be coming!

  5. Our government will not do anything about that. As usual.

  6. not really. perhaps if they did it again using nato weapons then it would be kinda a big deal but this is just drones
