  16. It’s one thing to bring your dog on public transport, considering that there are people who are uncomfortable around dogs. That’s a public debate I’m willing to have.

    Bringing your snake onto public transport, when snakes are among the most feared creatures in the animal kingdom (1/3 of people do not like snakes), and not in a cage for that matter…. that’s just incredibly selfish, insensitive or obnoxious, or maybe a combination of all three.

  18. Oh, if I saw this snake, I would faint from fear. When I was a child, I went to a village-like place with my family. There were little snakes there. They didn’t bite but I still have these snakes in my worst nightmares

    I wonder how many of the “this shouldn’t be allowed because snakes are scary” posters would agree to ban dogs because they are

    1: way more of a threat than the pictured silly noodle.

    2: an actual health concern for people like me.

  34. To the people saying this is so horrible, why? There are people that are scared to death of dogs, but I’ve seen dogs on the train many times. A snake is no different. They’re just animals, most of which are entirely harmless. If you have a fear of an animal because 5% of its relatives are harmful, that’s your problem to fix, not the owner’s. Clearly the owner has a good reason to transport his pet and has no other means to do so, making the public train his only option. No rules are being broken, so why are you all so mad?

  36. If you have to put your damn dog in a bag on the NY subway, this creature should be in some sort of carrier (and prevent the hellish situation I’m now picturing myself being in).
