They eat fondue with vegetables like broccoli and carrots. I almost had a heart attack when I saw it.
I’m a Swiss living in Japan. Honestly this doesn’t surprise me.
A lot of Asian’s still don’t have easy access to cheese. Even in Tokyo, apart from fake American slice cheese, hard to find real cheese (including fondue cheese!) unless you go to specialty store.
Fondue as a concept, it’s getting popular slowly but honestly most people here still don’t know what it is (sigh)
On a side note, I’m dying for a fondue w/ real bread after seeing photo!!!
