Erik ten Hag on the reports he will be sacked: “2 trophies in 2 seasons and 3 finals… not bad. If they don’t want me anymore, I go somewhere else and win trophies. That’s what I’ve done my whole career”

  1. Cups and not leagues are united’s currency now, hence the fan base will rub this cup to all but city!

  2. I just got banned from the man united sub for being a liverpool fan.. so salty

  3. If united sack him he probably ends up at Bayern:). Last time I checked Bayern is levels above united so if this happens then people that in charge are completely out of their minds. Who are they gonna appoint, tuchel ?

  4. Man utd are Flukey FC when it comes to the cup.

Coventry fans must be absolutely raging

  5. Dutch arrogance. United got very lucky today but fair play to him , he’s not going to make it easy to unload, and nor should he. Give him a 3yr extension I say

  6. I think the takes on this is so weird.

We all know why he might be getting fired, and that’s because of the league position. United expect to be competing for league titles and to be in the Champions League every year. That’s the expectation at the top of the club and they’ve given him the budget to do that.

You may think he deserves to stay because it’s been a difficult season, they have had injuries, and they should give him time as Arsenal did with Arteta. But is anyone seriously suggesting United will be happy with domestic cup runs alone? Arsenal won 3(?) FA Cups towards the end of Wenger’s era but that still came to an end with the consensus being that they were not good in those years irrespective of the cup runs and he still got CL until the end.

Maybe they should keep him but if he finished 7th again and won the FA he would certainly be fired. Hell if they’re not looking at CL places by the middle of next season they’ll fire him.

  7. If Pochettino wasn’t available (and in my opinion a perfect fit for United philosophically) I’d argue there isn’t a better manager available than ETH really.

That said if I was a United fan I’d think he still has credit in the bank to start the season at least

  8. More trophies than arteta in a significantly worse squad.

  9. He deserves another year. Tired of sacking managers every 2 years.

  10. He’s been crap let’s face it.

I think Utd should definitely sack him.

  11. Better first two years than Ferguson’s. No one would get that leniency in this day…he actually didn’t get it back then. It was the board that just kept faith, not the fans.

  12. Look it’s good to win trophies but imo if you’re United and giving your coach a blank cheque book to make all the signings he has, it’s actually a fireable season. Youre meant to be fighting for UCL and PL, not being ecstatic with an FA cup and no UCL. The standards are on the floor

  13. I want us to keep him. Been fucked with injuries so much this season. Alan shearer said something like it doesn’t matter if they’ve had injuries, it’s not good enough. Did he say the same when Van Dijk being injured fucked Liverpools season? No. Prick. Superb display today and Ten Hag deserves lots of credit for the way he set up today.

  14. Have more cups than arteta and still getting sack 😂😂😂😂😂😂

  15. I may be in the minority here.. As someone who grew up in a Man Utd heavy area I love seeing them lose, and I do think he clearly has shortcomings…BUT 2 trophies in 2 seasons, I think the culture at United is poisonous and whoever takes that job is in a huge uphill battle against the players

  16. He deserves a full season with a fit squad. Having Varane and Martinez made such a big difference as seen today’s final. I think he can make things work if they just let transfers over to someone else.

  17. This guy is so delusional it’s not even funny anymore
