  1. Hey now. 1 liter bottle of Spa blauw might go for 1€ in a supermarket. Adding 10€ for cooling it in a fridge and bringing it to you seems prefectly reasonable, when you consider you didn’t order any wine. /s

  2. That’s why I never eat out in The Netherlands anymore, prices skyrocketed but the quality of the food and service went down.

This might also be because apparently the Dutch only care about restaurants being “gezellig” (cozy) and getting served instagrammable plates instead of having some good fucking food

Edit: looks like I made a wrong assumption about OP’s location, but my comment about Dutch prices still stand

  3. In Portugal for 10€ that water would instantly turn into wine 😄

  4. I also have this experience in Belgium. Thieves!

In Italy you pay 1.5 to 3€.

  5. Drinking water sources are shrinking for a while now. Maybe thats why IT is expensive

    /s

  6. Nah mannnn wtf 🤮🤣 i mean shit has become expensive in Germany but Water!!! Is never! That expensive, not even the luxury shit

  7. Even in Denmark 11 euro would get u like nearly 1 L beer 😂

  8. In Finland you can get 10L for 3,05 € in a container. 🙂

And in many restaurants, water is included/you don’t pay for it separately.

  9. We have a saying in Romania: “nu e prost cine cere, prost cine dă”

“Is not the fool who ask (money), the fool is who gives (money)*

  10. And you pay normal 21% VAT for water and 12% for food? It doesn’t count as food? (I assume that Rundsst.. is also some food)

  11. This is one of the reasons we don’t dine out anymore that often. I get that prices are higher nowadays, but this is just insane.

  12. Man, im really not a cheap/greedy man, but this definitely crosses a line for me.

  13. 14 years ago, i worked in a restaurant in the Netherlands. (I won’t say where, but it was a top 10 restaurant in the city, wich is in the top 8 biggest cities)

They had bottles of Voss water already on the table. Voss is a place on Norway and it’s supposed to be super clean water. Anyway..

Like I said, the water would be in a sealed bottle on the table when guests arrived.

Many guests didn’t really pay attention and would open the bottle and start drinking.

That bottle coated €9,- (14 years ago) and as soon as it was opened it would be charged.

I hated this concept so fucking much cause it literally felt like it was illegal so I would always tell me guests the price of the bottle as I brought them to their table.

I got several warnings from the owner about it, and I didn’t work there for very long.

But it goes to show how fucking dirty some restauranteurs are, and all they do is nagg that business is slow.

(P.s. those bottles coated 1.50 at the wholesalers.)

  14. 1L of water literally worth only 0,5€ (250-300drams) 😭😭

  15. You have been robbed, 1L of Spa blauw is 1.15€ in supermarkets. Did they serve it in a golden beker maybe?

  16. Well, maybe you have a clean tap water at least

    0.5€-€1 – 5L here
