I have tried to open an account on top banks IMO. (Comdirect, DKB, Hanseatic GenialCard). They ask for previous address which is in Romania. The postal code is not accepted. I have been here for 2-3 weeks and Anmeldung is done.

Have you tried doing it in person?
Call them and ask.
They are asking for your previous address because you have been at your current German address for less than two years. The previous address you give them also has to be in Germany. Notice how they do not let you select a country?
I did some research on Comdirect before and found this [https://banks-germany.com/open-comdirect-bank-account-for-non-residents](https://banks-germany.com/open-comdirect-bank-account-for-non-residents). It seems that for new residents in Germany, you have to fill out that giant PDF file (in German of course) and mail it to them.
For now I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle and opened an account with N26. Everything is in English which is great if you’re new here. I’ve only had the account for a few weeks, but so far everything is fine. Do note though that you will not get a Giro/EC card with N26, only a regular Mastercard.
