  1. Quietly Cancelling a tour is the usual consequence when no one is buying tickets

  2. Damn remember when they were the biggest band in the world?

  3. I have seen the Black Keys probably 7 or 8 times on the last 20 years. Small venues where I left with my head ringing. Medium venues when they started getting some main stream attention. Big arenas when they toured for el Camino.

They’re not really an arena band. And they’re not really a huge draw in the way that other acts are.

The show is solid, and they fucking rock, that’s for sure.

But I can see them as a band that is better suited for a 3000 admission music hall than a 18,000 arena.

I’d watch them play a garden party. But will the 40-something parents make it to The civic center?

Edit: hope with all my heart that Dan and Pat are both healthy, and this is just a business decision.

  4. The best venue I ever saw them in was house of blues Orlando. They don’t need an arena they just need good acoustics. I always get the feeling that black keys fans aren’t arena types.

  5. ok, this is the second post I have seen about this group(?) and today is the first time I have ever heard of them, lol. I am in my 40s and I have absolutely no clue who they are. ewww, are they country?? it would explain me not knowing them if they are country

  6. Glad I saw them in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. Ziggo Dome was rocking, great venue for them.

  7. I love these guys but I’m super disappointed in the production on the new album. It’s horribly brickwalled.

  8. Man I would love if they stopped playing the arenas and toured the small spots again. I passed on the last three tours because they’re playing the garbage seated stadiums near me when I just want to see them at a club
