Mine is the Netherlands. Dutch people are smart like Germans but more laid back. 10/10 country.

  1. Ireland.

It’s just a knock-off version of the UK.

  2. norway because mountain + water + snow + low population density + freedom to roam + similar culture

  3. France.

They talk about strategic autonomy, they a pro nuclear power, they are/seem based on Islam, and so on.

Basically they have taken a lot of uncomfortable positions that seemed weird in the european debate just some years ago, but now are becoming mainstream.

But also, I cant help but like their culture from a more general point of view. And ofcourse, we got our king from them.

  4. Depends. Sweden is obviously an easy choice as it barely differs from Finland.

Otherwise probably France. Best food, versatile scenery, convenient location and decent climate in some areas (not too hot).

  5. I can’t answer this, because if I did I’d have to admit it was France

Not the French though. Fuck you, Pierre.

  6. Spain, without a doubt. I love the culture, great history, and people are as nice as the weather there.

I didn’t put Belgium because honnestly it’s the same.

  7. Denmark. Very flat, many bicycles, funny sounding language, completely useless monarchy. I already feel home.

  8. Not to make this a love fest or anything but everyone’s country has some really beautiful places I’d love to visit and things I admire about the culture and people.

I have a real soft spot for Austria though.

  9. UK. Never been but I feel like Anglos are chill and funny people and they do have a mighty attractive looking countryside.

    Also, Windsor alliance motherfuckers.

  10. Germany, its basically like a better England apart from the trains which are somehow worse.

  11. Spain, easily. I did my erasmus in Madrid and it was the best time of my life. You could go out any day of the week, at any time of the year and bars/clubs would always be full of people. We’d get hammered with cheap beer at 100 montaditos, have a couple of jamon sandwiches and then hit up the club. Every Sunday evening we’d go to the Templo de Debod to watch the late sunset behind the Royal Palace while listening to that Brazilian guy playing La Flaca and drinking beer from the Bangladeshi guy selling illegally with the cops 10 feet away. We’d go for tapas and walk around Parque del Retiro with a bottle of coke half-filled with rum, then join the local British expats in the art of street pissing

  12. To be fair a lot of places are gorgeous and i never spit on beauty. Slovenia is very green, peaceful and less expensive than switzerland so it’s a lot of good points. And for those who say they’re not WE we have Portugal on this sub

  13. Finland

Finns are just very likeable (if you exclude the hyper nationalistic ones that take every chance they can to shittalk sweden)

  14. To be honest, I really like most countries. All good for different reasons

Everything considered though, I’ll probably go for Italy

  15. For living there or for visiting as a tourist?

For living, i’m probably biased. I was in Delft NL for an Erasmus year (in another century but well) and i liked it. Living in Nederland seemed totally doable for me.

For visiting or just sympathy… most of the bunch actually. It’s Western Europe after all. I loved Portugal, I really liked Spain (Madrid but also Asturias), also Vlaanderen, Czechia, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark.

  16. Banter aside, probably Sweden or Norway. Both have beautiful landscapes and amazing food whilst their society reminds me of home.

  17. Norway. Similar in culture, similar langauge expect sweeter, mountains, skiing and fjords.

  18. Isn’t it obviously Spain? The weather, the food, the fact they aren’t Italian?

  19. Spain. It’s like Portugal little stepsister that now is an adult and you just want to… visit. 😉

  20. Any of the PIGS. Lovely cultures, beautiful buildings and landscapes, fascinating history, delicious food, friendly people, and enough cultural similarities to feel familiar

  21. I like the UK, it’s well organized but not as autistic as the germanic countries (which I still like, though).

But I’d choose Spain for the people.

  22. Our beautiful nordic brothers. I honestly cannot choose between Denmark, Norway, Finland or Iceland. I love all of you❤️

  23. Italy. Love the food, nature, history, architecture, warmth and passionate (is that the right word?) people.
