They are the only 2 MEPs I can name(obviously knew a fair few before being dragged out).

What’s the main problem with Clare Daly? I’m confused when I see comments like these in the thread.
She stands up for human rights, takes no shit from Ursula Von Der Leyen and the others in the EU who are justifying the genocide in Palestine, fights for the rights of marginalised people in Ireland, and opposes an EU army being used to further German interests in Africa – eg Mozambique where they’ll be used to secure (forcibly take) natural resources.
And that’s a bad thing???
People like Clare Daly will forever be the target of smears and attacks, because she goes against the status quo and the interests of corporate business that supersede the interests of the people. She’s a socialist, and rightly so. Capitalism is working out really well for Ireland and the Irish people isn’t it?
The EXACT same thing happened to Jeremy Corbyn. Funny that – he was called a terrorist sympathiser for talking to the IRA and Sinn Fein AND the fucking UDA, in an attempt to broker PEACE. He campaigned feverishly for Jewish AND Muslim communities in London for his ENTIRE career – and yet he was smeared as an anti-Semite. Funny that.
Ffs she’s not pro Russia, she’s stating the obvious. Ukraine is being kept as a battle ground because it’s good for business, and enables NATO and the EU to continue encircling Russia.
She’s being smeared and you lot are buying it. She’s probably the only sane voice in the EU and vocally opposes everything that the EU are doing to support Israeli genocide, so yes there’s one of many reasons why she’s being framed as a traitor.
How much is Putin paying her?
I will most definitely not be voting for Clare Daly, but I don’t mind giving her props for running one of the best campaigns in Dublin. Its hugely energetic. Once again – will not under any circumstance be voting for her – just more crediting the election team.
E.g. that slogan, the colours, are both rather class. Aodhan is running on some gobshite platform of ‘for the love of Dublin’ or something like that. Zero energy. But this looks a bit like a fashion poster.
Just there visting family over from Canada and loved Donabate. Keelings pub and spice bag from Donabate Chinese. Full breakfast indeed!
I like her and was confused to hear about people calling her ‘pro-Putin’. Sounds like that is from people who don’t understand that there are many who believe there’s more to the Ukraine war than what we’re being told. Like is that so hard to fathom? There’s something weird going on when a former comedian is suddenly commanding an army vs a world power and doing okay, getting all this help from all these other militaries… I don’t think any of us really know what is going on tbh.
You should see the cretins with posters up around Donegal it’s all anti-immigrant cretins and fellas who probably still want to reverse the abortion and gay marriage referendums. They had fairly graphic pro-life posters on the end of my street back when that was going on, which I thought was not allowed to do in a residential estate. I tore them all down but now they have all the Aontu ones up to high to grab and my vertical leap isn’t what it used to be.
