When I was a kid I thought the Elgin marbles were marbles, like the kind you play with. So I had this sick idea where I’d sell my marbles to some chump by claiming they were the Elgin marbles and in so doing become fabulously wealthy.
Why didn’t they put some nice ornaments on there or something? Cant the Greeks do anything right?

This happens a lot in Greece, they don’t actually finish the last story of their houses to save taxes
is it now being transferred to the British Museum?
I was there in the 90’s and there was crane in there, I think this counts as progress in Greek construction.
