Looks like France is following Argentina’s lead and cutting back on welfare to encourage people to go to work and get some economic growth.
I wish I remembered which country, one of the Scandinavian ones I think, but they had super generous unemployment, like 2 years. They realized something like 90% of people got a job in the last month. So they cut benefits to 18 months and again something like 90% of people got a job in the last month, so they cut down the number of months for unemployment, and again the majority of people got employment the last month.
