if anything, speed it up and get it out the way one way or the other.
“I am writing to seek clarity because of the potential political hand grenade of more possible charges resulting from this investigation.
“It has the huge potential to change the narrative of this campaign.”
Well, that’s not the crown offices fault. What a brass neck this guy has.
Of course you would.
No doubt it’ll be successful since our separate legal system is under the control of the Scottish government
“Please pause the investigation it could be very bad for us actually if it turns out our previous golden child knew what her husband was doing.”
You *really* aren’t meant to say that out loud.
Oh I didn’t realise that Angus MacNeil was running as an independent – that could be rather interesting for the constituency. Depending on how substantial his campaign ends up being, that could end up really benefitting Labour.
He’s not even an SNP MP anymore
>“I am quite concerned for SNP friends on the mainland. Because I am no longer a SNP MP I can solicit the information that they perhaps can’t ask for.
>“I am doing a favour for those campaigns that could get blown off course if any more charges – or indeed any prosecutions – are brought during the election period.”
He claims to be concerned for his former colleagues, but it seems more to me as way of grabbing attention.
Odd thing for MacNeil to insert himself into, given he’s no longer in the SNP ranks. Either he thinks this will also impact him, or he plans to rejoin in the future.
