Israeli peace activists stand guard to protect Gaza aid convoys • FRANCE 24 English

at this checkpoint between Israel and the West Bank several dozen Israeli activists have gathered to protect the aid convoys headed for Gaza the drivers are scared and worried because people are targeting them on the road in Jerusalem for instance One driver has been in hospital for 2 days there were 20 or 30 people here yesterday two police officers were deployed here as a meaningless gesture they just told people to move if they had wanted to actually stop them they could have they know how to repress protests but no they let them do it these Israeli settlers create a human barricade to prevent the adores from getting through some have a record of acts of violence that are taken away by the police while activists from the standing together Movement try to ensure there is a path for the convoys movements with radically different [Music] views we came here today to create a kind of a corridor dignity so that all the trucks can get through and they don’t have to face harm so we’re here to make sure that the police do their job these are just kids they’re afraid they were the ones who raped and murdered us on the 7th of October we’ve come here today to block the aid so it doesn’t reach them because we think help should go two ways if we give them the humanitarian Aid they should free the hostages in a society still reeling from from the 7th of October these radicalized teenagers enjoy some support pro peace activists like Alan Lee green though are trying to change Israeli attitudes and draw attention to the risk of famine in Gaza you know I cannot promise that we will win but we’re doing whatever we can to make sure that people have the option to choose the path of ending the occupation the path of ending the world unless we will be able to present this option the only way will be the way of the extreme government that youth to here to block the aid while you know doing what they’re doing in Gaza today the lores can continue on their way about 100 km to go before they reach the south of Gaza where they will be inspected by the Israeli Army before they finally reach the Palestinian population

Violent attacks on humanitarian convoys destined for Gaza are becoming more frequent. But many in Israel oppose this behaviour, and now pro-peace demonstrators have been taking turns, standing guard to protect the lorries and their drivers.

  1. On the night of May 17, the bodies of three abducted people were returned to Israel from the Gaza Strip. Among them was 22-year-old German citizen Shani Luk, who was brutally killed on October 7 by Hamas terrorists. The other two are Yitzhak Garlanter and Amit Buskila.

The German publication Bild found out exactly where the bodies of the dead were hidden: in a ten-meter Hamas tunnel under a building belonging to the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

This UNRWA shelter was reconstructed with donations from the German Federal Bank.

  2. You guys really dump whatever you do is wasted cas the aid cannot be stop go home work get money n enjoy your life😂😂😂😂

  3. The media paints Israelis as a homogenous, right wing, militaristic nation. When forgetting the 100,000s of leftist, peace makers, humanitarian efforts and anti occupation in Israeli society. Most Israelis don’t want to go to war, and want peace with their neighbors!

  4. Good, some Israelis have some sense. Palestinians need aid,and if they starve, then the Isreali hostages starve too.

  5. I love you people. You are the real Jews, following the tenets of your faith. It is people like you who will make a two-state solution possible. Thank you so much for your courage and humanity.

  6. I feel for both of them, and i am proud of those who are willing to take time out of their life to ensure the aid does reach gaza they are the bigger people

  7. Lol stop the aid, I don’t know why anyone would trust a country that doesn’t even have a government identity to lead them through this, it’s literally a trash fire and they should just find new homes in other countries, they tried to fight and win it all in 1948, I can’t really blame the attempt, but they did indeed lose, even with the help of the whole Arab alliance, like really you guys were being a little selfish trying to keep all the land, but as losers you don’t get to decide what you win, and I’m glad no one is truly stepping in too help so this can come to an end within this century to a couple decades.

  8. All these MSM only remember October 7th. What about October 4th/5th/6th or 1948 or 1969 or does history start from October 7th?
