Another class just graduated in the UK: The first batch of 10 future Ukrainian F-16 pilots to receive NATO standard training from the ground up have graduated from elementary flying training with the RAF, and are now conducting fast jet training with the French Air Force.

  3. Important for Ukrainian pilots to train in a western jet trainer, because Soviet and western attitude indicators (artificial horizon) work differently in the roll axis.

    Western style has a plane symbol that is fixed in relation to the cockpit and the horizon rotates, the Soviet style has a horizon that is fixed and the little plane symbol turns.

  4. After the French training, they finally can begin training on the F-16. This batch of pilots is months away.

  5. I wonder if there are a lot more pilots being trained behind the scenes
