  1. Despite Diddy’s growing legal troubles, the embattled mogul’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star will reportedly remain.

*TMZ* reported on Saturday (May 25) that ***a Hollywood Chamber of Commerce spokesperson said the committee is unable to make the changes to remove the Bad Boy founder’s star.***

***The story explained that the Chamber is able to “nominate star recipients, manufacture and install stars upon city approval and conduct the Walk of Fame installation ceremony, it lacks the authority to remove them.”***

Despite the entrepreneur’s mounting issues with the law, he seems to be remaining defiant.

***Earlier this week, the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper reportedly told at least one close friend that there was a larger “agenda” surrounding the release of the viral assault video of the mogul’s then-girlfriend,*** [***Cassie***](https://hiphopdx.com/artist/cassie)***, from 2016.***

***A source close to Diddy told The New York Post that the embattled mogul was furious about the video’s release, and insisted that it only tells half the story.***

***“He’s incensed,” the source said to the outlet. “Especially about the video. He insists it doesn’t tell the full story about what happened. Not that he’s excusing it, but he says that it’s a selected video.***

“It’s his position that there was an agenda in releasing the video when it was released. But ultimately, he knows that his big concern is the raids on his house; the Cassie video is just a distraction.”

The source’s claim was buttressed by the fact that Diddy’s pinned tweet is a statement from December 2023 that says his accusers, presumably including Cassie, are “individuals looking for a quick payday” while insisting that he “did not do any of the awful things being alleged.”

  2. The way this is worded makes it sound like a challenge one could absolutely beat. Someone will accept this challenge.

  3. Can’t? Or won’t? Because I’m 100% certain a sledgehammer and some time gets the job done.

  4. Contrary to popular belief, the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame are private property and are often purchased by the stars themselves. It’s not a dedication of public space to a private person, as Hollywood would want you to believe.

  5. They can’t remove them ok. But dont they move them. Like the people in front of the chinese theater arent the same since its been built right?

I was there a few years back for the first time and a little walk away from the theater and it got pretty runned down. Cant they just move him way down the end where its basically a place i wouldnt walk after dark and the sidewalk is basically covered in pee.

  6. They don’t want to return his £30k or whatever it costs to get one of those things?

  7. Talentless clown shouldn’t have one any way. His biggest claim to fame is being a Salacious Crumb

  8. We go through this shit every year with some new scandal. Trump and Cosby still have their star. They won’t be removed.

  9. Love the thoroughness of the article that doesn’t bother to say who has the authority. They can’t do it so 🤷‍♂️

  10. This article only exists to be rage bait. Nobody gave a shit Diddy’s walk of fame star (or any other canceled person’s star) until it was brought up.

  11. No the video tells the whole story. It shows him completely unhinged running after her in a towel and beating the shit out of her kicking her and dragging her. There is NOTHING she could ever do to excuse that behavior. Domestic violence is not acceptable and the fact he’s still trying to blame her in some way shows his apology video was just all bullshit

  12. I’ve seen stories in the past where a lot of those stars are in disrepair. Maybe something unfortunate could happen to it?

  13. They’ll want to remove it once people keep shitting on it.

  14. Thermite can remove it easily. And anyone can make it with items found at any hardware store. We even make it for training purposes (I’m a firefighter) to simulate certain types of fires.

  15. Just spray paint a penis on it. It will be removed in under 24 hours. Works with potholes too!

  16. Why not? Jimmy Savile is now in an unmarked grave. Pull that star up and give it to someone deserving.

  17. I’m seriously enjoy watching/hearing about his downfall. Even if they can’t remove it, the fact that this is being discussed makes me happy. Jail is coming for you!

  18. Who cares? Not the first monster on the walk of fame, wont be the last.

  19. Just do it like they did Trump’s. Destroy it so many times that eventually the city stopped trying to fix it.

  20. Someone should make a map of all the walk of fame stars for people who turned out to be sex pests and abusers.

  21. People forget that these stars were mostly paid by the celebrities. They can’t remove em.

  22. I agree. You’d have to go back and do this to every piece of shit that has a Hollywood star. Good luck

  23. This is why I think the Walk of Fame is run poorly. Any of them can just buy it and it doesn’t even seem like it has to be that long of a time. Some recent people have been around a long time and finally just got their star. Some haven’t been around a half of other ones times, or even 3rd, and got theirs. In this case Diddy got his in 2008. In terms of greatest, achievements, and longevity that’s a very short time. And then you have people like Dr Dre and Willem Dafoe who just got theirs in 2024 which makes sense in terms of longevity but doesn’t make sense to have gotten theirs *after* some other people or even around the same time as those who haven’t been around as long.

I think you should have to be around a lot longer than what they require and quite frankly lived most of your life or even already gone when you get it. Far too many controversies come out during people’s times and once the star is in there it’s apparently not coming out. Celebrities should have to come to the end pretty much with a clean record before being immortalized there. At the very least, have in writing if any crimes are found to have happened that their star can come out without a refund. Maybe it could even prevent some of it with them (wishful thinking but you never know).
