   Metro station Jean Jaurès. I used to use that station every day. Slightly up the road from there there’s a bridge at Jean-Macé under which there’s tens and tens of tents with all sorts of suspicious characters just loitering and milling around. Feels very unsafe, and we shouldn’t have to live like this

6. I like how “has mental health issues” is so often treated and perceived by the public as “nothing to worry about/nothing we can do”.
   For the victims it’s secondary at best why he did it and it’s a lie that nothing can be done.
   Furthermore what’s the purpose of this phrase anyway? In my perspective, everybody who’s attacking random people like that, be it with a knife, gun, axe etc. for whatever reason has mental issues. It’s a meaningless phrase in this context.

13. And afterwards foreign liberals yell at us when we want to assimilate migrants, in France. You know… Teach them acid isn’t meant for other people’s faces, women are people, stuff like that. Frightening assimilation. “No imaginary friends in the classrooms, no calling Samantha a slut because she wears a skirt in summer”.

    Now the sad state of affairs is also that psychiatry has been severely defunded: when it’s a local going amok, you won’t hear from it abroad even if it happens all the same.
